Central Farmers Cooperative/FREMAR LLC are agricultural based companies that provide products, services and market access in the areas of agronomy, feed, grain and petroleum. Originally formed in 1991 as FREMAR Farmers Cooperative, the company consisted of an elevator and feed mill located in Freeman, SD and an agronomy and elevator facility located in Marion, SD. In 1998, a 50/50 joint venture named FREMAR LLC was entered into between the cooperative and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), to build our existing agronomy and grain facilities north of Marion. Since then, the company has merged with Dimock Farmers Elevator, located in Dimock, SD, (2007); and Central Farmers Cooperative, based out of Salem, SD, (2007). At that time, Central Farmers Cooperative was designated as the name for the newly formed cooperative. The company merged with Viborg Cooperative Elevator Association, located in Viborg and Irene, SD, in 2014. In 2016, Coop Farmers Inc merged to add locations in Scotland, Springfield and Tyndall.
The philosophy of our employees centers around our customers. We want to collaborate with our growers to develop the key strategies they need to manage risk in today's marketplace.
Whether it is our agronomy team helping with production breakevens, or grain team assisting in developing a marketing plan, our energy staff securing a fuel budget plan or feed division customizing a feeding program, we look forward to serving and personalizing our patron's farming operations.
